AThame (PC) (On project: 2020-2021)

Athame is a rogue-like, strategic deck builder with crafting mechanics and elemental combat. While the overall design and implementation was a collaborative effort, I was responsible for the UI design, the production schedule, the card game design, and some art direction feedback.

 

Above is an early menu comp I integrated to give the team access to the different feature categories we needed to prototype. Cards were broken into Attack, Defense, and Spelll categories and players had access to collected resources, player deck, and card crafting.

 

While the game didn’t release, I’m proud of what we accomplished in a short 9 months. This was an ambitious effort executed by a small team of about five people. Above is an image of the first explorable area. Below is a concept of what was to be an explorable area later in the game.
